Description | Young male, nude, depicted in flight, with legs curved to right; left foot and right arm lost; left arm raised holding possible torch. (Pitts, p57) Described as athlete by museum but Pitts believes it is Mercury. Looks up to left. Simple piece with incised cap hair and facial features. Slightly chubby figure. Groove down back. |
