Description | Both arms are raised and bent at the elbow, the right slightly higher than the left, and this stance suggests that items were originally held in each hand. The posture suggests that the figurine was originally attached to a horse. . His hair is curly and there is a trace of a probable crested helmet. Although his face is very owrn, the outline of the eyes, the nose, and a groove for the mouth are still visible. He wears a short-sleeved tunic which ends mid thigh and is tied at the waist, perhaps with a wide belt, and also a short cape. What is possibly an armlet is visible on his right arm above the elbow (Worrell). |
