Description | an eagle with wings held back and tail raised in a position suggestive of the bird having just alighted on the ground. The feathers are indicated by shallow, incised scallops on the chest and upper wings, whilst the tail and flight feathers have a more deeply engraved herring-bone pattern (A-J). |
