Description | Only the upper body of the warrior survives. The upright torso, although heavily corroded, retains some surface detail, most notably a diagonal band which is visible on both the front and back, passing across the figure's left shoulder. The waist section appears to be covered by a short tunic. The legs are largely missing but the positions of the two short protrusions emanating from the curved underside support the theory that the figure originally sat astride a horse. The right arm is held upwards and is bent at the elbow, perhaps in a spear throwing motion. The remainder of the left arm is down by the side (PAS). |
