Description | Headless statuette of a standing male, wearing a short tunic and mantle half covering the chest. One leg and forearms also missing. Very finely, but rigidly executed. Probably Vulcan. (PAS). Henig pers comm 'another high quality figure of Vulcan...these bronzes which show Celtic features in pattering of clothes or stylisation of body features places them above the run-of-the-mill imports'. |
