The cause of death cannot be determined for any of the three Pandora dead. Although pathology was evident amongst the remains, there was no direct evidence to suggest the cause of death was disease-related.
Literature suggests that two of the three individuals recovered from the wreck belonged to the two unnamed crew who were known to be killed prior to the ship sinking (one by a falling mast and another by a 'loose cannon'). However, the skeletons showed no distinct pattern of fractures to indicate probable death by these means. In the absence of other evidence, the most obvious probable cause of death was drowning.
