Small sondage on the area of the front of the bank (to the left). Shows the remains of the dark turf revetment (to the right of the ranging pole), giving way to the clay packing behind the wall, two stones of which appear, bottom right. This is cut by the palisade trench of period 4. See further stage of excavation in 1/15 and 1/16.
