Interpretation comments | One circular structure on road to baths near large timber building. Pre third century AD but within Roman period. Notes lack of coarse wares made up by local pottery (?). No further information in CPAT archives other than what published. Archive has details of excavations in 1966-7 but not 1968. Unclear from plan if circular structure or apsidal end of another building but not pre-Roman in date. Spearheads suggest ritual use? |
