Figure 1: PTD arrowhead, Drigg (Cherry and Cherry 1985)
These comprise small pebbles, rarely exceeding 50mm in diameter, with a thin, sandblasted cortex. Although some red and grey flint can be found, the predominant colour is yellow to caramel (Figs 1-2).
