3.1.2 Interaction and Animation

Sensor nodes have been added to detect proximity, the passage of time or collision with solid detectors thus making it possible to interface with a programming language to animate objects within the scene. Combining these features, it will be possible to create highly dynamic and interactive worlds. The sun can cross the sky in real or accelerated time, seasonal floods can occur within a set cycle or can be modified using controls within the landscape or a herd of bison can be made to move relative to the optimally located kill site of the calorie-counting rational gatherer-hunters prominent in much cognitive-processual writing (Mithen 1990).
