Description POSI | The adit is just at the bottom of the rock face by the gully -- it is very well preserved as it is not filled in with rubble. It is trapezium shaped (wider floor -- rounded roof). The ceiling has evidence of burning. It is uncertain whether it is fire setting or later use of the "cave". Well within the pillow lavas. Yellow and red iron oxides line the ceiling. Aspect east. Width: 1.24 m. Height: 1.7 m at the front. Depth: 1.5 m. |
