5.6 Radiocarbon dating

Carbonised wood from a possible post-footing 0135 (F5; Fig. 10) generated a radiocarbon date originally expressed as 230 BC ± 100 (Birm-453; Fig. 48). The calibrated date falls as 410 cal BC–cal AD 30 (68% 380–110 cal BC; 95% 410 cal BC–cal AD 30) using the CALIB 3.0 programme (Stuiver and Reimer 1993).
