7.0 Early Mesolithic Scotland: interactive maps

by Rob Sands, Magnar Dalland and Patrick Ashmore

Introduction

This section of the paper has two purposes. Firstly, it provides an experimental setting for a means of portraying site distributions dynamically, based on the calibrated date ranges of each site (Calmap). Secondly, it provides information about each of the sites chosen for inclusion in the list of dates for the early Mesolithic of Scotland, made up from records taken from Canmore, provided by the RCAHMS (Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland).

To get the most out of this section, we strongly recommend that you read the notes first.
