Table 29: Frequencies of Schmorl's nodes on individual vertebral surfaces. In females 30% (27/89) of thoracic surfaces and 32% (28/87) of lumbar surfaces were affected, compared with frequencies of 49% (121/243) and 38% (74/195) respectively in males. Data from Saluja et al. 1986 and Cardy 1997b.
