4.4.38 Nettleton, Lincolnshire

Nettleton lies immediately south of the Roman settlement of Caistor in West Lindsey, and close to the junction of several Roman roads. There is an Early Saxon cemetery at Nettleton and excavations at Nettleton Top in 1986 revealed evidence for an Early Saxon settlement. Finds included quantities of domestic debris and three SFBs. The VASLE dataset is derived from the EMC and PAS.
