4.4.15 Amphora fabric 11

The single body sherd in this fabric was decorated on the exterior with 8mm stripes of bright red paint. Red geometric painting occurs on a number of Ionian amphora types, e.g. from Chios (Rizzo 1990, fig. 43, 55) or Clazomenae (Rizzo 1990, 197-8).
