9.2 Standing buildings

A number of standing buildings survive within the suburban study area. The principal monuments are:

Köshks: substantial buildings, with corrugated exterior walls, probably elite residences, including the Greater Kyz Kala and Lesser Kyz Kala
The Kyz Bibi complex: a religious complex of which only one structure, heavily restored, survives as a standing structure.
